I work with women to navigate the many challenges and transitions we face throughout our lives, from teen years to midlife. I have special training and experience in pregnancy and postpartum issues; anxiety and depression; grief and loss; trauma; and the many stressors of motherhood. Unexpected difficulties can change the way we feel about ourselves and our world, and leave us feeling alone, overwhelmed or anxious. Working together, we can find our way through, to understand ourselves more deeply, reconnect with people around us, and create a better way forward.
Many of my clients focus on taking care of the needs of others, while ignoring their own. I provide a compassionate space, free of judgment or pressure, to pause, breathe, and, with support, face those feelings we work hard to avoid. Accepting our imperfect selves and sharing our painful experiences can open the door to a more wholehearted, authentic life.
Everyone’s path to healing is unique. We will decide together what our work will look like, and what therapeutic approaches are most helpful, based on your strengths and preferences. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, having received my MSW from Boston University. I have worked with clients ages 0-70 facing various challenges. I have specialized training on perinatal mental health, as well as TF-CBT, ARC, DBT, and other modalities for grief, loss, and trauma.
I wish you well on your journey to feeling better. I’m happy to speak with you and answer any questions you may have about working with me or therapy in general.
